Bass Pro Christmas!

Elizabeth and I met some friends at the Bass Pro Shop today for some Christmas crafts and a visit with Santa. We made an adorable Santa out of a bobber! Then we stood in line and anticipated Santa. We were hoping the girls would warm up to Santa while we were standing in the line...but oh no. They were terrified of the big jolly fella! He was a great sport and we tried a picture anyway...hopefully he got her Christmas list, because she has definitely been a good girl! Amanda and Elizabeth loved the white flaky snow! She even tried to taste it!

Elizabeth getting ready to go see Santa!

Brent chasing Elizabeth, she squeals and her laugh is absolutely contagious! We just love this little girl so much!

Turkey day with the Class! We had a great day! Brent carved the turkey with a knife and a plastic fork! Just like the pilgrims! Elizabeth loved to watch!

Turkey time!

Pardon the unpleasant picture, but this is our turkey for our Thanksgiving! He is soaking in a bath of Turkey Perfect Herb Brine Mix!Yum Yum! (hopefully!)
This pretty much sums up our Oklahoma Stay....

Our little girl and I still wanted to make it to "Soda Pops" on historic Route 66. So...we did. We got a root beer and soaked up the last bit of Okie sunshine. They had allllll kinds of soda pop...watermelon, orange, millions of cream sodas....lots of choices. We liked the root beer.

road to recovery

Elizabeth and Brent have had a yucky case of the flu bug! You would never believe it by looking at this picture but E has been a very sick little girl. She is definitely now on the road to recovery. She has discovered a dangerous way to stand on her horse. We have told her she will "fall down go boom" and I think she actually understands!

Lake Hefner

Little girl is very well rested! She was so happy and babbley in her bed!

Lake Hefner is a 9 mile distance all the way around. We rented 2 bikes, one with a baby carrier, E rode behind Brent and we biked all the way around. We stopped to snap a few pictures and to play on at a few parks. We had a great day! E loved riding behind her Dad!
B and E on the north side of the lake. It was a beautiful day in Okie land.

Another pumpkin patch!

Amanda and Elizabeth take a very windy wagon ride at the pumpkin patch. Here Elizabeth decided to sample some very fresh pumpkin seeds...straight out of the ground!

"I thought pumpkins were orange?" E loved the white pumpkins too!

We are building our home!!

After a crazy car trip from lovely Oklahoma to wonderful Ohio, we drove 16 hours through the night...and arrived in Ohio to meet see some homes and meet with a potential builder and spend a little time with the family. After lots of thinking and asking questions...we have decided to build a home! Here are Elizabeth and I (my dad in the background) checking out our homesite.

Here is our lot pretend you are looking out the back door...there is my dad again...he is photogentic!

Oh here is my dad again...this time he is pushing Elizabeth in their swing! She loves to be in the blue swing!

Clydesdale Express Horses in Yukon

Joanna, Elizabeth and I packed a picnic lunch and went to the Clydesdale Express Barn. It was a beautiful day and the horses were enormous!

The "cowboy", had to get on the stool to comb his hair...and he was talking on his cellie at the same time!

Me and E posing in front of another black beauty!
